Duties Perform MIG (Metal Inert Gas) welding on various steel components, ensuring adherence to project specifications and safety standards Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately fabricate parts and assemblies Use hand tools, power tools, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring devices to ensure precise fabrication and assembly Operate fabrication equipment such as press brake machines, plasma cutters, and pipe threading tools to shape and assemble sheet metal and ductwork Conduct welding using FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas) welding, and welding techniques for different materials and project requirements Assist with rigging, mechanical assembly, and installation tasks on construction sites or manufacturing facilities Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following OSHA regulations, ASME codes & standards, and company safety protocols Skills Proven construction site experience with the ability to adapt to various working environments Expertise in MIG welding, TIG welding, FCAW, plasma cutting, soldering, and welding techniques Strong blueprint reading skills coupled with the ability to interpret schematics for accurate fabrication Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, press brake machines, plasma cutters, forklifts, and machining equipment Mechanical knowledge of pipe threading, ductwork fabrication, assembly processes, and schematics interpretation Ability to perform basic math calculations necessary for measurements and material estimations Familiarity with ASME codes & standards for quality assurance in manufacturing or construction projects Experience with rigging operations involving cranes or forklifts for lifting heavy steel components This role is perfect for motivated individuals eager to apply their welding expertise in a fast-paced environment that values precision craftsmanship.
