Job Overview:

You will permanently join stainless steel parts/components for use in finished products using TIG welding equipment and techniques. Grind and polish to a pharmaceutical-grade finish.

Responsibilities and Duties:

Work from blueprints, work orders, and specifications, in addition to following verbal instructions Cut, fabricate, and weld stainless steel, aluminum, and steel Produce high-quality welds on stainless steel using welding equipment and techniques to make or repair metal forms or objects Utilize hand tools, a tape measure, fixtures, jigs, and clamps for small welding jobs Other reasonably related duties

Required Skills and Abilities:

Professional manner An active driver's License helpful Ability to weld in various positions, including overhead Ability to operate basic hand and power tools Good oral communication skills Basic reading and comprehension skills; ability to write legibly Ability to understand and follow instructions Detail and quality results-oriented Ability to read and understand blueprints Ability to use and read measuring instruments accurately in both U.S. Standard and Metric Awareness of general safety principles in a Shop environment, in addition to welding safety and personal protective gear Reliable transportation to work Ability to complete tasks working with others and independently Work overtime as required Practice good safety habits Physical abilities: hearing; seeing; lifting, pushing and pulling between 50-75 pounds; crouching; bending, twisting; kneeling; squatting; crawling; walking; standing for long periods; reaching in all directions; balancing, holding, grasping and manipulating very small objects; hand/eye coordination; level of ambidexterity; use safety ladder; climbing; lay on a mechanic's creeper and move about while performing tasks with tools; tolerate varying ranges of temperature inside and outside of a Shop environment.

Education and Experience:

Certification desired; Vocational/Technical, U.S. Armed Forces, or apprenticeship training preferred. Experience with reading and understanding blueprints or sketches Knowledge of and experience in MIG welding, stainless steel, and aluminum, use of hand and power tools 1-year relevant experience, dependent on the level of job function. Experienced in stainless steel fabrication, tight tolerances and specifications, use of lathe, shear and brake press helpful.
