Tampa, FL Job Details Temporary | Contract $22 - $25 an hour 16 hours ago Qualifications Lifting equipment Forklift Material handling equipment operation Full Job Description Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated ABS Certified Welder to join our dynamic fabrication team. In this role, you will be responsible for executing precise welding operations on various metal components, ensuring all work meets strict quality standards and adheres to industry codes such as ASME. Your expertise in MIG, TIG, FCAW, and welding techniques will be essential in delivering durable, high-quality assemblies for diverse construction and manufacturing projects. This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your mechanical knowledge and fabrication skills in a fast-paced environment dedicated to excellence and safety. Responsibilities Perform welding tasks using MIG, TIG, FCAW, plasma cutting, and welding methods on sheet metal, pipework, ductwork, and structural components. Read and interpret detailed blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure accurate fabrication and assembly. Utilize hand tools, power tools, calipers, micrometers, and press brake machines to shape and assemble metal parts with precision. Conduct rigging and mechanical assembly operations while adhering to safety protocols. Maintain a clean work environment by following safety procedures during plasma cutting, machining, soldering, and other fabrication processes. Skills Extensive construction site experience with a strong understanding of safety practices. Proficiency in MIG welding, TIG welding, FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), plasma cutting, and specific welding techniques. Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings confidently. Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, calipers, micrometers, and press brake machines for fabrication tasks. Mechanical knowledge of pipe threading, ductwork installation, rigging, machining processes, and assembly techniques. Familiarity with ASME codes & standards applicable to welding and fabrication projects. Experience working with sheet metal fabrication and manufacturing environments. Strong basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to fabrication work. Ability to operate forklifts safely along with other heavy machinery required on construction sites.
