Position Summary We are seeking experienced Combination Welders / Fitters to fabricate and weld structural steel components used in building systems. This position requires the ability to read blueprints, fit parts accurately, and perform high-quality welds in a manufacturing environment. Candidates should be detail-oriented, safety-focused, and capable of operating a variety of fabrication equipment. Responsibilities Perform MIG and flux-core welding (FCAW) on structural steel components Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and welding symbols Fit and align steel members accurately prior to welding using jigs, fixtures, and measuring tools Set up and operate welding and cutting equipment in a safe and efficient manner Inspect completed welds and assemblies for conformance to quality standards Operate forklifts, overhead cranes, and rigging equipment to move materials safely Maintain work area cleanliness and perform basic equipment maintenance Follow all company safety policies and procedures, including PPE use Support general production tasks as needed Qualifications High school diploma or GED required 2+ years of structural welding and/or fitting experience preferred Must be proficient in MIG and flux-core welding (ability to pass a weld test required) Experience in blueprint reading, layout, and fit-up of steel members Knowledge of basic shop math and measuring tools (tape, square, levels, etc.) Forklift and/or crane experience preferred Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and teamwork Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in a physically demanding environment Pay rates based on experience
