Job Description

Swanton Welding Company, a family-owned business since 1956, is a leader in custom steel metal fabrication with a commitment to excellence and innovation. We are seeking a skilled Robotic Welder Operator to join our team in Griffin, GA. This role involves operating and programming robotic welding equipment, performing manual welding, and ensuring the quality and consistency of fabricated parts. The ideal candidate will thrive in a collaborative and dynamic manufacturing environment, contributing to our culture of teamwork and individual initiative. Responsibilities Operate and program robotic welding equipment efficiently. Perform MIG welding and manual welding during robot cycles as needed. Load and unload materials using hand, overhead jib crane, or forklift. Monitor and adjust machine controls to address programming faults or malfunctions. Read and interpret blueprints to ensure accurate fabrication. Utilize templates, fixtures, and clamps to align parts for quality production. Conduct preventative maintenance on welding equipment. Qualifications Minimum of 2 years experience in robotic welding and programming. Proficiency in MIG welding and manual welding techniques. Ability to read and interpret blueprints accurately. Experience operating forklifts, power tools, and overhead cranes. Strong math skills for measurements and calculations. Proficient in accurate reading of measurements -standard and metric. Basic mechanical knowledge and use of hand tools. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Computer skills for programming and operation.
