Job Description

Overview We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Welder specializing in MIG (Metal Inert Gas) and TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas) welding to join our manufacturing and construction teams. This role involves fabricating, assembling, and repairing metal components with precision and adherence to safety standards. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience working on construction sites, reading blueprints, and utilizing various hand and power tools. Your expertise will contribute to high-quality project execution, ensuring structural integrity and compliance with industry standards. Key responsibilities include interpreting schematics, performing welding operations on diverse materials such as sheet metal and ductwork, and supporting fabrication processes in accordance with ASME codes & standards. Responsibilities Perform MIG and TIG welding on various metals, including steel, aluminum, and other alloys, following detailed blueprints and schematics. Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and welding symbols to ensure precise fabrication. Use hand tools, power tools, plasma cutters, press brake machines, and other fabrication equipment safely and effectively. Support assembly, installation, and repair of structural components on construction sites or in manufacturing environments. Conduct quality inspections using calipers, micrometers, and other measuring tools to verify dimensions against specifications. Prepare materials through processes such as pipe threading, soldering, or plasma cutting to meet project requirements. Assist with rigging operations involving cranes or forklifts to move heavy materials safely. Maintain a clean work environment while adhering to safety protocols related to welding fumes, electrical hazards, and mechanical equipment. Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines while ensuring compliance with industry standards like ASME codes & standards. Support fabrication of ductwork or other custom metal assemblies as required for specific projects. Requirements Proven experience working on construction sites with a strong background in MIG welding and TIG welding techniques. Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings for fabrication purposes. Familiarity with construction-related hand tools, power tools, plasma cutters, press brake machines, and machining equipment. Knowledge of ASME codes & standards applicable to welding practices within manufacturing or construction environments. Ability to operate forklifts or cranes for material handling safely. Mechanical knowledge related to pipe threading, assembly processes, and sheet metal fabrication. Experience working with schematics for electrical or mechanical systems is advantageous. Basic math skills for measurements and calculations essential for precise fabrication tasks. Strong understanding of safety procedures related to welding operations and construction site protocols. Ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments requiring attention to detail.
