2nd What we are looking for: The Welder is responsible for using hand-welding or flame-cutting equipment to weld or join metal components or to fill holes, indentations, or seams of fabricated metal products. What you'll be responsible for in this role: Read and follow written and verbal communication or instruction Read and interpret blueprints and work orders Weld components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions Lay out, position, align, and secure parts and assemblies prior to assembly, using straight edges, combination squares, calipers, and rulers Examine work pieces for defects and measure work pieces with straight edges or templates to ensure conformance with specifications Recognize, set up, and operate hand and power tools common to the welding trade, such as shielded metal arc and gas metal arc welding equipment Must be able to adapt to rapidly changing situations Identify maintenance needed on equipment and tooling Work at different workstations as production needs require Maintain the work area in a clean, safe, and orderly manner Use proper safety equipment and apparel required for each operation on individual's product line or work cell Perform other duties as assigned To be a great fit for the role: Team oriented
