Full-Time Job Description:
As a welder, you are responsible for cutting and joining mild or stainless, and other materials, and equipment operation for assembly of structures.
Essential Functions:
Participate in all safe start meetings. Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations Follow 5S standards to maintain work area. Determine the appropriate welding equipment or method based on specifications Setup and align components for welding according to specifications Weld components using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment in various positions (vertical, horizontal or overhead) Operate angle grinders and other tools necessary to prepare the surface to be welded. Complete pre-operation equipment inspections and report any issues identified. All other duties as assigned. Minimum Experience, Education, etc.: High school diploma or equivalent Related degree from a technical college, a plus 1 year of proven experience as a welder in a manufacturing environment, or internship while attending technical college
Skills & Abilities:
Steady hands and attention to detail. Ability to read and interpret drawings. Basic welding and metal terminology. Endurance and dexterity. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment safely and efficiently. Ability to exert up to 80 pounds of force occasionally, up to 40 pounds of force frequently, and up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Average proficiency in mathematics. Good hand-eye coordination.
