Manufacturing Reports to: Production Supervisor Andersen Hitches is seeking a dependable, safety-minded Robot Welder Operator to operate steel and aluminum welding robots and support our manufacturing team. This role requires welding knowledge, attention to quality, and a willingness to assist with other production duties as needed. Responsibilities Operate robotic welding equipment for steel and aluminum products. Load, unload, inspect, and prepare parts for robotic welding. Perform basic weld touch-ups and repairs as required. Read and follow production prints, work instructions, and quality requirements. Use measuring tape, welding gauges, and other measuring tools to verify parts meet specifications. Safely use MIG welders, die grinders, hand tools, and related welding equipment. Inspect completed welds for quality, fit, and appearance. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. Wear and properly use required personal protective equipment (PPE) for welding and grinding. Communicate clearly with supervisors and team members, both verbally and in writing. Assist with other manufacturing or production duties when needed. Qualifications Knowledge of welding techniques, including MIG welding. Experience with or understanding of welding equipment such as MIG welders, die grinders, welding gauges, and hand tools. Ability to read blueprints/prints and accurately use a measuring tape. Knowledge of proper PPE and safe practices for welding and grinding. Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality. Good verbal communication and writing skills. Ability to follow instructions, work independently, and contribute to a team environment. Willingness to perform duties outside of welding as production needs require. Previous robotic welding or manufacturing experience is preferred, but training may be provided. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift. Ability to safely lift and move materials consistent with production needs. Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with welding, grinding, noise, heat, and required safety equipment. Interview Weld Test Candidates must bring their own welding hood and welding gloves to the interview. A weld test will be completed at the time of the interview.
