Job Description

Hiring for Entry Level Welder! Job Description This position fabricates, assembles, and welds metal components used in the production of seating systems and related products. This role requires accurately reading blueprints, performing MIG welding, and operating welding equipment safely while consistently meeting quality standards and production goals in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Responsibilities Fabricate and assemble metal components for seating systems and related products according to blueprints and specifications. Perform MIG welding on a variety of metal parts, ensuring strong, clean, and consistent welds. Interpret and follow technical drawings and blueprints to complete work accurately and efficiently. Set up, operate, and maintain welding equipment and related tools in a safe and effective manner. Fit and position components prior to welding to ensure proper alignment and structural integrity. Grind and finish welds and surfaces as needed to meet quality and appearance standards. Inspect completed welds and assemblies for defects and adherence to quality standards, making adjustments as needed. Essential Skills At least 1 year of welding experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment. Proficiency in MIG welding with a basic understanding of welding fundamentals. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings. Experience working in a manufacturing environment with production goals. Skilled in using hand and power tools related to welding and fabrication. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with fabrication, fitting, and grinding of metal components. Reliable attendance history and ability to follow established procedures. Ability to collaborate effectively with coworkers in a team-oriented environment. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Altamont, IL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
