Job Description

Welder/Fabricator Job Overview We are seeking an experienced Welder/Fabricator to support contract manufacturing work for aerospace, power generation, healthcare, and industrial customers. This role requires blueprint reading, fit-up, fabrication, multiple welding processes, self-inspection, and a strong commitment to print compliance and quality craftsmanship. Responsibilities Perform MIG, TIG, Flux-Core, and occasional Stick welding on carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum. Read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and work instructions. Fit-up, fabricate, measure, and verify components prior to and after welding. Use tape measures, calipers, micrometers, and layout tools to confirm dimensions. Set up and adjust welding equipment based on material and job requirements. Inspect completed welds and finished parts to ensure print compliance. Complete grinding, finishing, minor rework, and maintain a safe, organized work area. Requirements 3+ years of TIG weldi ng experience and solid MIG welding experience. Ability to read blueprints and weld symbols. Sheet metal fabrication, fit-up, and layout experience. Experience welding stainless steel and aluminum is preferred. Ability to pass weld testing, including 3G MIG/TIG positions. Job-shop or contract manufacturing experience is strongly preferred. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision; AWS or equivalent certifications are a plus.
