Duties Assemble and weld Carbon Steel tubing, pipe, formed heads, and flat plate. Read and understand mechanical drawings and follow work instructions to make sure pressure vessels meet industry standards, dimensional, code, and quality requirements. Gather and move vessel components and vessels through factory using pallet jacks, forklift, and carts. Assemble, fit-up, align, position, and clamp pressure vessel components to prepare for tack welding. Tack weld and if needed root weld pressure vessel connections to main vessel body using TIG welder. Weld vessel components using MIG Welder and Automated MIG welding machines. Operate Machinery and Tools including Jib Crane, Manual Lathe, Manual Milling Machine, Drill Press, Horizontal Band Saw, Hand Grinder, Welders, Plasma Cutter, and Pneumatic Sander. Requirements Ability to become a qualified welder in multiple positions with and without backing using Temprite approved welding procedures while welding Carbon Steels Ability to use Good Safety Practices while operating manufacturing equipment. Ability to maintain cleanliness and orderly personal welding booth and equipment. Ability to use measuring and alignment tools including tape measure, dial caliper, alignment lasers, and level. Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift to 50 pounds frequently throughout the day. Familiarity with measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and other precision tools for quality assurance. High School Diploma and ability to speak Spanish are a plus. Work Environvent The Welderwill work in a production environment and will conduct most tasks in a welding booth with exposure to heat, noise, and moving equipment. The welder will be expected to wear safety glasses, welding hood, welding jacket, welding gloves, hearing protection, and steel toe boots This a full-time position Monday through Friday 6 am - 4:30 pm .
Salary Range :
