The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of welding techniques and a good eye for precision fabrication. This role involves working on a variety of metal projects, requiring a combination of technical skills and creative problem-solving abilities from fabricated steel to modification of shipping containers.

• Welder Key Responsibilities:

• ""•Perform MIG and FCAW on mild steel.
• Interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications to determine material requirements and project designs.
• Layout material according to print specification.
• Fabricate metal parts and structures according to project specifications and dimensions.
• Ensure quality and accuracy of welds and fabricated parts through thorough inspections.
• Operate welding equipment and tools safely and efficiently while maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
• Collaborate with team members and shop foreman to meet production goals and deadlines.
• Identify and troubleshoot issues with welding equipment and make minor repairs as needed.
• Comply with safety regulations and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.

• Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a structural steel Welder or similar role.
• Proficiency in various welding techniques and equipment operation.
• Must be able to use measuring tools accurately.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality work.
• Must be able to use industry standard layout tools for structural steel.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Certification in welding or fabrication is a plus.
• Strong ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints
• Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy materials and stand for extended periods.
