Welder/Fitter Job Type:
Full-Time Job Summary:
The Welder/Fitter position is responsible for welding and fitting metal components according to specifications, ensuring high-quality standards and adherence to safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
  • Perform welding operations using various welding techniques (MIG, TIG, Stick, etc.).
  • Fit and assemble metal components using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment.
  • Inspect and test welded joints to ensure they meet quality standards.
  • Maintain and repair welding equipment as needed.
  • Follow safety procedures and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time and within specifications.
  • Other job duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Certification in welding from a recognized institution.
  • Proven experience as a Welder/Fitter in a similar role.
  • Proficiency in various welding techniques and equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
  • Strong attention to detail and quality.
  • Good physical stamina and manual dexterity.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
  • Ability to stand, bend, stoop, kneel throughout the shift
  • Ability to lift up to 50# unassisted
