Job Description
Job Overview:
The Plumbers & Steamfitters Local 166, in partnership with our signatory contractors, is currently seekingEXPERIENCED
Pipe Welders in the Fort Wayne and surrounding counties.Must be knowledgeable in:
- SMAW welding, uphill progression in the 6G position
- GTAW welding, uphill progression in the 6G position
- GMAW-P welding, with modified root. Must be proficient in more process than just GMAW-P.
- Reading isometric drawings
- Assembling piping fabrications per isometric drawings
- Have verifiable experience in the mechanical industry welding on pipe.
- Ability to create Xray quality welds repeatedly.
Some of the duties include:
- Welding piping fabrications utilizing multiple welding processes
- Fabrication of piping assemblies for cooling & heating systems, food process, industrial manufacturing, refineries, power generation, chemical plants, pharmaceutical facilities, water treatment, hospitals, schools and other industries.
- Follow ASME code to comply with industry requirements
- Be able to pass a background check and a drug screen Union Benefits are
