We are seeking an experienced TIG Welder / Fabricator to support a growing operation in the Franklin, Indiana area. This direct-hire opportunity is ideal for someone who enjoys precision work, thrives in a fast-paced production setting, and brings strong thin-wall TIG welding experience on stainless and similar alloys. This role will support the fabrication and repair of ducting and tubular components in a high-mix, lower-volume environment. The ideal candidate will be comfortable reading blueprints, working to tight tolerances, and maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality, and detail. Required Skills & Qualifications 3+ years of TIG welding and fabrication experience in manufacturing environments Experience welding thin-wall stainless steel, including screening alignment around 20-27g stainless Ability to weld or quickly learn .016-.035" tube wall thickness Experience reading blueprints, drawings, routings, and work instructions Experience with tight-tolerance parts and precision hand measuring equipment Ability to work overtime as needed Must be authorized to work in the U.S. Must be able to pass required background screening and drug screening Preferred Skills & Qualifications Experience welding titanium, stainless steel, and nickel alloys Experience with torch brazing Experience with orbital weld equipment Current or prior AWS / aerospace welding certifications FAA-related manufacturing or repair-station exposure Experience working with jigs, fixtures, and pressure testing Strong problem-solving mindset and mechanical aptitude Day-to-Day Responsibilities Perform TIG welding and fabrication on thin-wall tubes, ducts, and manifolds Read and interpret blueprints, routing instructions, and process sheets Set up parts in jigs and fixtures for accurate welding/fabrication Inspect work to ensure compliance with quality standards and tolerances Support pressure testing, cleaning, bead blasting, and finishing activities as assigned Identify process improvement opportunities and escalate issues proactively Maintain safe work practices and proper handling of hazardous materials Collaborate with supervisors and teammates to support production flow and delivery targets Physical and Environment Requirements Physical expectations and working conditions associated with the job may include standing, walking, or sitting for extended periods, lifting up to 25 lbs, and working in a manufacturing environment with tools, fixtures, and production equipment.
