Job Description

Indiana Millwright Services is looking for an experienced welder/fabricator with good work history, great attendance, and a positive attitude to join our team! Multiple positions available, ideal candidates posses field and shop experience. Critical thinking, problem solving, and organizational characteristics are a must. Responsibilities and Duties Weld, fabricate and repair multiple species of metal utilizing, stick, mig, and tig welding. Positioning, aligning, fitting, and welding parts using jigs, hand tools, and welding equipment. The ability to identify which welding process to complete the job properly and efficiently. Providing detailed instructions, specifications, drawings or documentation to explain others about how the components are to be fabricated. Studying blueprints to determine project task sequences and requirements. Laying out and examining material to ensure that client specifications are met. Inspecting materials, equipment, or structures to identify the cause of problems or defects. Understand all specifications and hold the finished product to specified tolerances. Maintain a high degree of aesthetics for the overall professional appearance of the finished product Qualifications and Skills Must have experience welding and repairing various different materials using stick, mig, tig and fluxcore. Ability to set up engine driven welders and identify appropriate procedures to complete the task at hand. Experience operating basic cutting equipment including, oxy/acetylene torch, carbon arc gouger, and plasma cutter. Ability to perform in fast-paced, production environment. Understand blueprints and drawings. Advanced mechanical and mathematical abilities. Ability to accurately use all measuring instruments and tools. Ability to pass required weld testing per
ASME/AWS
specifications. In-depth knowledge of safety practices and rules associated with working in a welding shop. Ensuring work tools are maintained in a safe working condition while following OSHA policies. Experience in a manufacturing environment. Good organizational skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills with management and coworkers. Possess a positive attitude with the willingness to learn. Must have reliable transportation. Pre-employment drug screening and a background check required.
