No SUMMARY The Welder I uses MIG and TIG welders. Familiarity with safety, operation, and daily maintenance of the equipment. Ability to see inspection equipment and perform part inspection during production. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for keeping work space clean and ready to work at all times. Responsible for keeping tape measures, weld bead scale, weld symbol handbook, scribe, metal marking pencil, grease pen, and sharpie on their person. Demonstrate a controlled weld bead that is acceptable with minimal rework. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/LICENSURE
High School Diploma or GED preferred Trade School or Vocational preferred Metal fabrication or machine shop experience required; welding experience is preferred. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
: Proficient with tape measures, weld bead scale, and 12' qualified tape measure. Ability to read weld symbols and blueprints. Organized and keeps a clean and safe work space. Ability to operate a MIG welder. PHYSICAL DEMANDS
: Lift, carry, push, and or pull 1- 50 lbs. frequently. Regular able to stand and walk for 1-10 hours per day. Work in a fast-paced industrial environment while wearing hearing protection, vision protection, steel-toed shoes, weld helmet (provided by employee), and other appropriate protective clothing Sight in order to visually inspect parts for quality and to clean up part. (i.e., burs, dust, and debris) WORK ENVIRONMENT
Normal work hours with occasional optional as well as mandatory overtime necessary to meet deadlines Normal office and manufacturing plant environment which may include exposure to dust, industrial solvents, liquids and other materials.
