Position Summary:
The welder is responsible for welding, fabricating, and assembling metal components according to specifications and safety standards. This role requires attention to detail, strong technical ability, and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
Shift:
Monday - Friday 7:00am - 3:30pm but hours could vary
Essential Job Functions:
Must be able to weld steel. Selecting, measuring, cutting, and joining appropriate metals to specifications. Preparing metals and work surfaces to ensure safe and effective assemblage. Interpreting specifications and blueprints accurately. Regularly cleaning and inspecting welding equipment and tools. Operate forklift as required (Must be properly licensed in accordance with existing company policy). May be required by management to perform other reasonable work-related tasks. Requirements High school diploma or GED preferred 1-2 years of MIG welding experience (or completion of an accredited welding program) Ability to read blueprints and understand welding symbols Strong understanding of welding safety and PPE requirements Proficiency using fabrication tools, measuring devices, and basic shop math Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills Certification in welding is a plus, but not required
