Job description Join Midwest Equipment Midwest Equipment is a growing manufacturing company producing equipment and components for our customers. Our work includes fabrication, welding, assembly, and finishing of complete units. We are focused on quality, efficiency, and building a strong team. We are currently looking for E xperienced Welders to join our team in Thorntown. Why Midwest Equipment Health insurance - your well-being is a priority Team-oriented environment with a strong, dependable crew Opportunities for advancement and skill development Monday-Friday schedule, 7:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. (No weekends) Position Overview This is a hands-on welding role supporting our production team. While welding will be the primary focus, this position will also assist in other areas of production as needed, including assembly, finishing, and paint support. We're looking for someone who takes pride in their work, maintains quality, and is willing to contribute where needed to keep production moving. Key Responsibilities Read and interpret blueprints and work instructions Set up and weld components to specification (manual or semi-automatic) Inspect welds and finished parts to ensure quality standards are met Assist with assembly and finishing as needed Support powder coat/paint operations when required Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area Work with team members to meet production goals What We're Looking For Welding experience (MIG required; TIG a plus) Ability to read and interpret technical drawings Strong attention to detail and workmanship Reliable, consistent, and able to work without constant supervision Willingness to support other areas of production when needed Manufacturing or fabrication experience preferred Additional Information This role is primarily welding, but work may shift based on production needs. Candidates should be comfortable contributing in multiple areas of the shop, including occasional support in paint and finishing.
