Job Description

Webco Manufacturing is seeking a Senior MIG Welder/Fabricator to join our precision sheet metal team in Alto, GA. In this role, you will interpret blueprints, set up welding equipment, perform MIG welding and fabrication on custom parts, and ensure high-quality finishes. You'll lead by example in safety, craftsmanship, and continuous improvement, mentoring junior welders and collaborating with engineering and assembly teams. This position offers hands-on work with advanced equipment, skill development, and the opportunity to impact production quality and efficiency. Responsibilities Interpret blueprints, drawings, and work orders for custom metal components Set up, operate, and maintain MIG welding and related fabrication equipment Perform high-quality welding, fitting, and fabrication of sheet metal parts Inspect welds and finished assemblies to meet quality and safety standards Collaborate with engineering and assembly teams to resolve fabrication issues Follow all safety procedures and support a clean, organized work area Mentor and assist junior welders and fabricators on best practices Contribute ideas to continuous improvement of processes and productivity Required Skills MIG welding Blueprint reading Metal fabrication Weld inspection and quality control Fixture setup and alignment Grinding and finishing Measuring tools (calipers, micrometers) Welding equipment setup and maintenance Fabrication of sheet metal components Safety procedures and OSHA compliance
