This role involves performing precise welding operations on various metal components, ensuring adherence to safety standards and quality specifications. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in welding techniques, fabrication processes, and mechanical knowledge, contributing to the successful completion of projects across diverse settings. This position offers an opportunity to develop technical skills while supporting the creation of durable, high-quality structures and equipment. •Please note this role will require secondary interview•
Schedule:
Monday-Friday 6a-2:30p. For more questions, please call our office at 913-268-1222. Responsibilities Execute welding tasks using MIG (Metal Inert Gas), TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), and welding techniques to meet project specifications. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately for fabrication and assembly. Utilize hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment such as press brake machines and plasma cutters effectively. Measure materials precisely with calipers, micrometers, and other measuring devices to ensure proper fit and alignment. Perform pipe threading, ductwork fabrication, and sheet metal work adhering to safety standards and engineering requirements. Operate rigging equipment and forklifts safely for material handling and assembly tasks. Apply mechanical knowledge to assist with machining, soldering, assembly, and schematic interpretation. Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to ASME codes & standards. Support construction site activities by working on-site with a focus on safety, efficiency, and quality. Experience Prior construction site experience is highly preferred; familiarity with manufacturing or industrial environments is advantageous. Proficiency in
MIG, TIG, FCAW
welding processes; experience with welding is a plus. Strong ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately. Knowledge of fabrication techniques including plasma cutting, press brake operation, and sheet metal forming. Competence in using hand tools, power tools, calipers, micrometers, and other measurement instruments. Mechanical aptitude with understanding of pipe threading, rigging operations, and basic math skills. Familiarity with ASME codes & standards relevant to welding and fabrication practices. Ability to operate forklifts safely; experience with machining or plasma cutting equipment is beneficial. Demonstrated ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments while maintaining safety protocols.
