Job Description

Webco Manufacturing is seeking a skilled Fitter Welder to join our precision sheet metal fabrication team in Alto, GA. In this role, you'll interpret blueprints, fit components, and perform MIG/TIG welding to produce high-quality custom metal products for diverse industries. You'll work with advanced fabrication equipment, ensure parts meet tight tolerances, and uphold rigorous safety and quality standards. In our team-oriented, craftsmanship-driven culture, you'll collaborate with engineers and peers, contribute to continuous improvement, and grow your technical skills in a stable, expanding manufacturing environment. Responsibilities Interpret blueprints and fabrication drawings to prepare weldments and fittings Set up, fit, and tack weld components to specified dimensions and tolerances Perform MIG/TIG welding on sheet metal and structural components Operate fabrication equipment such as saws, brakes, and grinders safely Inspect welds and assemblies to meet quality and dimensional standards Follow safety procedures, PPE requirements, and shop housekeeping practices Collaborate with engineers and team members to resolve fabrication issues Participate in continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives Maintain welding equipment and report maintenance needs Document work performed per company and customer requirements Required Skills MIG welding TIG welding Blueprint reading Weld symbol interpretation Metal fabrication and fitting Use of measuring tools (calipers, tape, squares) Welding equipment setup and troubleshooting Operation of shop tools (saws, brakes, grinders) Quality inspection of welds and assemblies Safety and PPE compliance
