Job Description
Webco Manufacturing is seeking a skilled MIG Welder to join our precision sheet metal fabrication team in Alto, GA. In this role, you will read blueprints, set up welding equipment, and perform high-quality MIG welding on a variety of metals and assemblies. You will inspect welds for accuracy, follow safety and quality standards, and collaborate closely with fabrication, engineering, and assembly teams. Responsibilities Perform MIG welding on sheet metal and fabricated components to specifications Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and weld symbols Set up, adjust, and maintain MIG welding equipment and fixtures Inspect welds for quality, accuracy, and compliance with company standards Follow all safety procedures, PPE requirements, and workplace guidelines Collaborate with fabrication, engineering, and assembly teams to resolve issues Complete rework and repairs as needed to meet customer and quality requirements Maintain a clean, organized work area and proper handling of materials Participate in continuous improvement and productivity initiatives Document work performed and report equipment or quality issues promptly Required Skills MIG welding Blueprint reading Weld symbols interpretation Sheet metal fabrication Weld inspection and quality control Use of measuring tools Fixture and jig setup Basic metal finishing and grinding Welding safety practices GMAW welding equipment setup
