Job Description

Craftsmen Contractors is hiring a Certified MIG Welder for a commercial project in Cameron, Louisiana. area. This is for an ongoing project at the LNG plant. Needing a Welder who can MIG weld light-gauge stainless steel. The work schedule is for day shifts Monday through Friday. Pay is $35/hour. Weekly pay by direct deposit.
Job Duties:
Interpret detailed mechanical blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute MIG welding tasks. Weld metal brackets, iron, and structural angles. Weld all necessary components specified in blueprints. Perform all welding, including MIG, at the job site as specified by the supervisor. Use a grinder to smooth welds. Assemble metal components by welding ductwork, piping, sheet metal structures, or other fabricated parts following blueprints and schematics. Conduct quality inspections using calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments to verify weld integrity and dimensional accuracy.
Job Requirements:
Must have previous structural MIG welding experience. Will need to be certified for welding Basic math skills Problem Solving / Analytical ability Perform calculations Ability to communicate both written and oral Interpersonal and organizational skills Mechanical aptitude Good motor skills and hand-eye coordination for accuracy in welding. The job requires clarity of vision, with or without corrective lenses, for inspection and repair. Strong commitment to safety protocol adherence in all work activities.
