Full Job Description Description:
Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced Flat Welders for projects located in the Shreveport, LA area . This is a first shift opportunity, and the pay rate is $35/hour based on experience and skill level. If you are a Flat Welder and want to work alongside other proven craftsmen who emphasize safety, productivity, and superior craftsmanship, this is your chance to advance your career!
Job Scope:
Analyze engineering drawings, blueprints, specifications, sketches, and work orders to plan welding and assembly operations Position, align, and secure parts prior to welding Prepare metal surfaces for fabrication Operate manual and semi-automatic welding equipment using processes such as GTAW (TIG), GMAW (MIG), FCAW (Flux Core), SMAW (Stick), plasma arc, resistance welding, and submerged arc welding Weld in flat, vertical, and overhead positions Join structural steel components Grind and clean welds Inspect finished work Maintain quality standards in a fabrication shop environment
Requirements:
2+ years of welding/fitting experience
