SHIFT DIFFERENTIAL

We are looking for highly skilled Combo Pipe Welders with professional pipe fabrication experience who can weld multiple processes and successfully pass the required on-site weld tests. This is NOT an entry-level welding position. Candidates must be proficient in TIG (GTAW), MIG (GMAW), and Flux Core (FCAW) and capable of welding and certifying on multi-process pipe in the 6G position .

REQUIRED WELD TESTS

Candidates must successfully pass the following on-site weld tests:

TIG TEST 2.5

" Double Heavy Pipe (.552 wall) 6G Position TIG all the way out Must Pass Visual Inspection & X-Ray

MIG / FLUX CORE TEST 6

" Pipe (.719 wall) 6G Position MIG Bead - Downhill Flux Core - Uphill Must Pass Visual Inspection, X-Ray & Bend Test If you have the pipe welding experience to pass these tests, FlexForce wants to speak with you immediately.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

Qualified candidates must have: Previous professional Combo Pipe Welder / Fabrication Welder experience Previous experience working in a Tier 1 Pipe Fabrication Shop Strong TIG (GTAW) pipe welding experience Strong MIG (GMAW) pipe welding experience Strong Flux Core (FCAW) pipe welding experience Experience welding multi-process pipe Ability to weld pipe in the 6G position Ability to produce welds capable of passing Visual, X-Ray, and Bend testing Knowledge of pipe preparation, fit-up, joint configuration, and welding procedures Ability to safely operate common welding and fabrication equipment

RESPONSIBILITIES

Perform TIG, MIG, and Flux Core pipe welding according to required procedures Weld carbon steel pipe using multiple processes and positions Maintain proper arc length, travel speed, penetration, and bead profile Prepare and clean weld joints using grinders, wire brushes, and other fabrication tools Position and clamp pipe and components as required Inspect work for quality throughout the welding process Follow established welding procedures and fabrication specifications Use required PPE and follow all company safety requirements Participate in safety meetings, pre-job briefings, and JSAs Maintain a clean and safe work area
