Full Job Description Position Summary :
We are seeking an experienced Plastic Fabricator and Welder to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience welding thermoplastics, interpreting detailed fabrication drawings, and producing high-quality custom products. This position involves the fabrication and assembly of tanks, chemical cabinets, scrubbers, casework, ductwork, and duct fittings for industrial and commercial applications. Training will be provided in the fabrication of specialized fittings and ductwork. Summary - Job Responsibilities -
Activities :
Fabricate, assemble, and weld thermoplastic components and structures according to engineering drawings and specifications. Construct tanks, chemical cabinets, scrubbers, casework, ductwork, and duct fittings. Read and interpret detailed blueprints, shop drawings, and fabrication specifications independently. Measure, cut, shape, and fit materials while maintaining required tolerances and quality standards. Perform plastic welding operations on polypropylene (PP), PVC, CPVC, along with additional supporting material. Inspect completed work to ensure compliance with company quality and safety standards. Safely operate hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment. Handle and move materials safely, including lifting heavy components when required. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Work independently and collaboratively to meet production schedules and project deadlines.
Skills and Qualifications :
Proficiency in welding thermoplastics. Ability to read a tape measure accurately. Ability to read, interpret, and work from detailed fabrication drawings and blueprints with minimal supervision. Strong understanding of fabrication techniques and quality workmanship. Ability to safely lift and move heavy materials. Ability to safely operate power tools and fabrication equipment. Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work. Dependable, self-motivated, and safety-conscious.
Pay:
$20.00 - $23.00 per hour
