\$24/hr TEC Staffing Services is recruiting for a local metal assembly business in Dalton, MA. This is for a temporary position.Responsibilities:
- Perform welding on various metals (steel, aluminum, and stainless steel) using techniques such as MIG, TIG, and Stick welding
- Responsible for assembling pieces of metal together and/or repairing metal components using heavy machinery
- Ability to read blueprints; Review blueprints, drawings and other specification papers before starting work on a fabrication process and during the steps to ensure accurate completion
- Cut metal into the appropriate forms by employing furnaces or hand torches to heat up materials to make them more flexible for bending or manipulation into the correct specification
- Ensure quality specifications are met
Job Requirements:
- Prior experience welding (at least 2 years)
- High school diploma or a GED equivalent
- Experience using a variety of welding equipment such as
TIG, MIG
& Stick- Ability to comprehend blueprints and work specifications
- High attention to detail
- Knowledge of safety standards and procedures
