Schedule:
7:00 AM - 3:30
PM Position Overview:
The Production Welder will perform routine hand-welding or robotic welding on a repetitive and non-repetitive nature on standard and near-standard assemblies. De-burr, grind, and fit components before welding. Grind and polish finished elements as required. Block jig or position parts before welding.
Preferred Qualifications:
1-3 years' welding experience in an industrial manufacturing environment. Knowledge of basic shop math and welding symbols. Ability to read and understand formal, and informal drawings, and/or engineering drawings.
Position Criteria:
Ability to read written instructions and comprehend verbal instructions. Ability to read and follow standard work. Ability to use good judgment and problem-solving skills to make informed decisions. Basic computer knowledge of Windows-based operating systems and programs. Ability to use measuring tape, and variable gauges, such as calipers. Ability to change tooling/tooling parameters. Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs. Ability to use a crane once fully trained to lift items Ability to stand for extended periods. Repetitive lifting, bending, and squatting are inherent to this position Ability to wear required PPE for the role including but not limited to safety glasses, hearing protection, safety shoes, and protective arm and hand coverings. Requirements High School Diploma or GED from an accredited school. Six (6) months of prior welding experience or a technical diploma or certification in welding from an accredited institution Years of Experience • 1-2 yrs
