Summary As a Welder at Suncor Stainless / Atlantis Rail, you will be an integral part of our production team, responsible for performing the necessary welding on products, components, fixtures and shipping crates. This role is essential in upholding our reputation for quality and precision in every project. Responsibilities Performs the necessary welding on products, components and, fixtures, and shipping crates. Performs secondary operations such as grinding, polishing, and cleaning of welded parts in preparation for shipping. Welding of parts using most appropriate welding equipment and techniques. e.g. Tig, Mig, Stick, etc. Changing out of empty gas bottles with full bottles at welding stations. Reporting all required supplies and/or tools to Manager for reordering. Continual care of all welding equipment. There is intermittent supervision conducted within this job with decision making being moderate. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required Knowledge of Tig, Mig, and Stick welding Ability to properly set up welding machine for each given welding task Knowledge of post-welding operations such as grinding, polishing, and cleaning Knowledge of safety protocols in a construction or manufacturing environment is preferred. Ability to work collaboratively within a team setting while also being self-motivated. Work Environment Temperature controlled manufacturing setting with frequent standing, bending, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
