Jobs › Woburn, MA › Brazer-2nd shift Aavid Thermal Division of Boyd Corp Brazer-2nd shift Woburn, MA Apply With limited supervisor, performs a highly diversified range of brazing on all company products in order to braze together a wide variety assemblies and subassemblies such as headers, u-bends and fittings.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1.Works from blueprints and verbal instructions in order to determine proper assembly and brazing specifications. 2.Utilizes induction brazing, gas flux brazing, manual brazing, infrared brazing and automatic brazing techniques while brazing a wide variety of nonstandard and standard assemblies and subassemblies such as headers, u-bends and fittings. 3.Selects proper settings, proper tip and alloy rod and regulates pressure of gas flow. 4.Devises or selects suitable holding devices, springs, clamps, and filler materials. 5.Performs preheating and heat treating operations as required. 6.Using torch brazing techniques, touches up faulty bonds as they occur 7.Performs tests on units for leaks and makes necessary assembly or brazing repairs. 8.Visually inspects parts and subassemblies for freedom from defects; suggests appropriate actions to correct defects. 9.Maintains work area and equipment in a safe, clean, and orderly condition. 10 Performs other related duties and directed. \> Active Filters Brazer-2nd shift Woburn, MA Clear All Apply
