Superior Skilled Trades is seeking Welders for a temp-to-hire opportunity in Waldorf, Maryland!
PAY:
$21-26/Hour, based on experience
HOURS:
7:00 AM - 3:30 PM, 40 hours/week
SCHEDULE
Monday-Friday

Job Summary:
We are seeking skilled MIG Welders to join a manufacturing team assembling and welding trash chutes in a warehouse environment. The ideal candidate will have experience with MIG welding, metal fabrication equipment, and be able to read job specifications to produce quality welds and fabricated components while maintaining a safe work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform MIG welding safely and efficiently on trash chute assemblies. Operate fabrication equipment including cutoff saws, shears, rollers, brakes, presses, forming machines, and punches. Read and interpret job specifications to determine material requirements and machine adjustments. Set machine stops and guides according to specifications. Properly use welding fixtures and jigs. Inspect workpieces for defects and verify measurements for accuracy. Remove burrs, rust, scale, and sharp edges from finished products. Perform minor machine maintenance such as oiling equipment. Maintain a clean and organized work area. Perform additional duties as assigned by the Welding Supervisor.
Requirements:
MIG welding experience required. Experience operating fabrication shop equipment. Ability to accurately read measuring tools and job specifications. Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong communication and problem-solving skills. Minimum of 3-6 months of related welding or fabrication experience.
Additional Requirements:
Must be eligible to work in the United States. Must have reliable transportation to the job site. Must successfully pass a 5-panel drug screen . Must successfully pass a basic criminal background check . Must be able to lift 50+ lbs. regularly. Must be able to stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, and climb throughout the workday. Work is performed in a warehouse environment with exposure to welding fumes, moving machinery, vibration, and loud noise. We are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
