Job Description - Welder / Fabricator (Sheet Metal and Frame Welding)
Position Overview:
We are looking for a skilled Welder/Fabricator to join our team in the manufacturing of high-quality sheet metal and frame welded assemblies. This role involves precision welding, metal fabrication, and assembly of custom welded units. The ideal candidate takes pride in craftsmanship, can work from drawings and shop sketches, and pays close attention to detail to ensure both structural integrity and a clean, professional finish. Responsibilities Fabricate and assemble sheet metal and frame welded assemblies and related components from raw materials. Perform MIG and TIG welding on steel, stainless steel, and aluminum. Cut, grind, and fit metal parts according to drawings and measurements. Ensure welds are strong, clean, and visually appealing for customer-ready products. Operate shop equipment including welders, plasma cutters, grinders, and saws. Maintain quality standards while meeting production deadlines. Follow all shop safety protocols, including proper PPE use and safe handling of equipment. Assist with prototype builds and custom welded assembly designs when needed. Maintain a clean and organized workspace. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent (technical training preferred). Proven welding and fabrication experience (1-3 years preferred). Proficiency in MIG welding; TIG welding experience a plus. Ability to read and interpret shop drawings, blueprints, and measurements. Strong attention to detail and pride in producing quality work. Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physically demanding tasks. Familiarity with grinders, cutting tools, and other fabrication equipment. Welding certifications (AWS or equivalent) a plus but not required. Preferred Traits Experience in manufacturing, fabrication, or metalworking for structural or industrial products.
