Position Summary The Fitter's responsibilities include but are not limited to the layout, installation, and welding of pipe components. The Fitter will also be responsible for inspecting fabricated parts to comply with quality requirements. The Weld Fitter position will have an understanding of fabrication and be able to work on projects independently. What You'll Do Foster a culture of safety awareness & prioritization. Ensure that quality standards are met; champion quality ownership of work center. Enforce all company rules and policies; communicate issues or concerns with leadership. Hands on operation of equipment, including but not limited to the use of basic hand tools for assembly and disassembly, welding materials, and other specialized equipment required for fabrication. Set up machines. Assemble and install pipe components. Read and interpret blueprints and drawing specifications to plan the layout, assembly, and welding operations required for fabrication. Understand all weld symbols. Prepare weld surfaces as required. Set up components for Welding Specifications. Visually inspect welds for adherence to quality requirements. Maintain a clean, safe work area in compliance with Corporate and OSHA standards. Perform any other tasks or duties as assigned by the division and/or corporate management team. Required Skill and Experience A minimum of 5 years experience of welding and fitting is required. Experience with reading blueprints. Full understanding of the welding process and displays a high level of quality on the most challenging of jobs. Basic understanding of mathematics as related to welding assignments. Education Qualifications High school Diploma, GED or equivalent is preferred.

Ability to lift at least 50 pounds. Ability to perform physical activities that require considerable use of arms and legs and moving the whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials. Close mental and visual attention required, coordinating manual dexterity with mental and visual attention for sustained periods of time.
