Who We Want:
CSD is seeking a Fitter / MIG Welder for 1st Shift in Auburn Hills, MI. The hours are 6:30 a.m.- 3 p.
- Handling, fitting, welding and assembling materials per the Bill of Materials (BOM)
- Ensuring that all products in their department are fabricated, welded to the provided BOM
- Weld components in the round (pipe/tube/rolled plate) as well as some flat
- Recognize, set up, and operate hand tools and power tools common to the welding trade, such as shielded metal arc and gas metal arc welding equipment.
- Assist with the layout, positioning, alignment, and securing of parts and assemblies prior to assembly, using straightedges, combination squares, calipers, and rulers.
- Work closely with other team members to accurately fulfill customer orders on time. What You Get Paid The position pays a competitive rate per hour based on experience and expertise. What Requirements Are Needed
- Integrity, energy, creativity and a positive attitude
- Critical thinking and good judgment
- Experience in fabrication and MIG welding in a variety of materials (Carbon Steel, Stainless Steel)
- Ability to read a BOM and engineering drawings for the purpose of assembling projects
- Mechanical abilities; skills in using tools such as saws, drills, grinders, cut off wheels, clamps, levels, tape measures
- Communicate effectively with co-workers
- Team player who can also work without supervision Physical Requirements Must have the physical strength and endurance to be able to perform duties as well as the ability to handle stressors of the position in operational and administrative situations.
