The primary responsibility of the Welder is to fabricate and assemble steel and aluminum structures and products through the use of welders, cutters, shapers, and measuring tools according to provided specifications. The Welder should also serve as a working team member and individual contributor to the overall team's success.Typical Duties and Responsibilities:
Use welding machines to assemble, repair, and maintain steel and aluminum equipment and structures of various sizes Read and interpret diagrams, sketches, and blueprints to determine operations, required materials, and timeframes for projects Set up, operate, and maintain welding and cutting equipment Load and unload equipment and supplies as directed Clean and organize shop and other areas as required Adhere to applicable company and regulatory agency environmental, health and safety standards Ensure that The Mersino Way is a guiding document in all daily activities This is a safety-sensitive role that requires strict adherence to all company safety protocols and standards. Prospective employees must pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.Qualifications:
5 years welding experience High school diploma or equivalent Applicable welding certification(s) preferred Mechanical experience or knowledge a plus Ability to use measurement tools and devices Need to bring welding helmet, steel toe boots, basicPPE Specific Expectations:
Ability to work effectively with others Ability to multi-task in a changing environment Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet job requirements Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines Strong time management and organizational skills Requires intermittent periods during which continuous physical exertion is required, such as walking, standing, stooping, climbing, lifting material or equipment, some of which may be heavy or awkwardDisclaimer:
