We are growing company in search of an above-average individual to fill the role of Welder on First Shift . A successful candidate will be skilled in both TIG and MIG welding with stainless steel, carbon steel pipe to flanges, and other materials.
RESPONSIBILITIES
MIG/TIG weld carbon steel and stainless steel pipe ½''- 24'' in diameter Read and fabricate from blueprints Set and operate machines per materials requirements Pressure rated welding with capabilities of passing appropriate NDE (X-Ray, Dye Penetrant, Hydrostatic Testing) Use mechanical ability to fixture parts in proper position before welding to print specifications Other duties as assigned
EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Proven experience as a welder in a manufacturing setting Ability to read blueprints/fabrication Lathe, mill and drill press experience, operate various hand and power tools Ability to read and interpret mechanical documents and drawings Able to work with great concentration and precision, great mechanical aptitude and math skills Keen eye for detail and results-driven Technical skills including controls and instrumentations Strong verbal communication skills Strong problem-solving skills Self-motivated Must be able to obtain
ASME/AWS
Certifications to Company procedures
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS
High school diploma or equivalent required. Additional training, education, and/or certification in welding preferred This is a full-time, 40 hours per week, first shift position with incentive programs available. We offer a competitive benefits package the first of the month following thirty days. All of our plants are located within very close proximity to one another, no long distance travel is required.
