Job Description

A Welder at 3-Dimensional Services Group performs advanced welding on structural parts, assemblies, and tool repair, with MIG welding required and TIG experience preferred. The role supports the company's in-house manufacturing work, including prototype and low-volume production in Michigan. Responsibilities Perform advanced MIG and TIG welding, including structural welds and basic tool repair. Program and adjust automated or robotic welding equipment as needed. Operate basic machining equipment such as a Bridgeport mill and lathe. Modify and repair fixtures to meet production and quality requirements. Safely and effectively operate a plasma cutter for part fabrication. Utilize basic Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools to support fabrication and layout tasks. Use precision measuring tools, including calipers and micrometers, to verify part accuracy. Work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining consistent quality and productivity. Adhere to all safety protocols, including proper Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures. Accurately log job times and maintain required documentation daily. Comply with all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), company policies, and safety standards. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by leadership. Qualifications Advanced MIG welding experience required. TIG welding experience is a plus. Familiarity with machining (Bridgeport mill, lathe) and fixture modification. Working knowledge of CAD software and plasma cutting equipment. Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and measurement skills. Ability to work independently and maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced environment. Understanding of safety practices and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.
