Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and reliable Welder / Fabricator to join our production team. This is a permanent, full-time position offering a stable 4-day work week (Monday through Thursday) on 1st shift.

The ideal candidate is highly punctual, possesses strong mechanical aptitude, and can work independently from blueprints. This position is a temp-to-hire role with a 90-day probationary period through a partner staffing agency prior to direct placement. Core Responsibilities:
MIG Welding:
Perform high-quality MIG welding on various metal components to meet structural shop standards.
Fabrication & Machinery:
Safely operate standard shop equipment including press brakes, shears, plasma cutters, and grinders.
Blueprint Reading:
Interpret mechanical blueprints and technical drawings to determine fabrication sequences and layout specifications.
Material Handling:
Safely operate forklifts and rigging equipment to lift, move, and position heavy materials within the shop.
Assembly & Machining:
Complete mechanical fabrication processes including pipe threading, drilling, and final product assembly.
Safety & Maintenance:
Adhere strictly to safety protocols during all welding, cutting, and assembly activities.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Proven hands-on experience in structural metal fabrication and MIG welding. Strong proficiency in blueprint reading, technical drawing interpretation, and shop math. Demonstrated experience with heavy shop machinery (press brake, shear) and power tools. Must have reliable transportation and an excellent attendance record.
Physical Demand:
Must be able to stand for long periods and regularly lift and move up to 50 lbs independently.
Interview Test:
Must be able to pass a hands-on MIG weld test and basic blueprint reading evaluation. How to
