This company is located in Livonia, MI and has more than 70 years of stability and top-notch customer service. This family owned company provides security products, access control solutions and related services to locksmiths and security professionals. The Position Our newest Fabricator/Welder will work in a fast paced, but steady, position fabricating commercial doors and frames. Frequent lifting, constant movement, attention to detail and a safety minded outlook are necessities for our next successful hire. Experience, Skills and Abilities High School Diploma or GED. The need to have things neat and orderly. A desire to contribute and help no matter what the task.
Essential Duties:
The Fabricator will be responsible for modifying/creating hollow metal doors & frames using hand tools, power tools, and machines. The Fabricator will be responsible for ensuring quality and safety of all parts, sub-assemblies, and finished products. The Fabricator will also be responsible for maintaining production flow to ensure efficiency and control.- Read blueprints, drawings, and specifications to fabricate parts accurately.
- Fabricate components by following instructions on work orders.
- Clean work areas and equipment as required.
- Perform routine safety inspections at all workstations or areas of the production facility as required by the plant manager or plant superintendent.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the plant manager or plant superintendent.
