Pleasant, MI 48858 - Office hours are 7:00am - 3:30pm Responsibilities Perform MIG welding on steel products according to blueprints, layouts, work orders, and welding procedures Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings accurately Work closely with Quality Control to ensure parts meet specifications Follow direction from the Welding Foreman to prioritize jobs appropriately Maintain consistency and accuracy in repetitive production work while adapting to custom jobs Prepare materials by cleaning or degreasing weld joints as needed Remove excess weld, slag, and spatter Safely set up and operate powered hand tools Operate machinery, forklifts, and overhead cranes Demonstrate precision and efficiency when using a tape measure and other measuring tools Report to work on time for a 7:00 AM shift start Work overtime and occasional weekends as needed Qualifications Minimum 1 year of on-the-job MIG welding experience Ability to accurately read and use a tape measure Forklift experience preferred Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
