Job Description

MIG Welder / Fabricator - 1st Shift Metal Arc is hiring full-time MIG Welders / Fabricators for our 1st shift manufacturing team in Muskegon, MI. Metal Arc manufactures high-quality steel laboratory and office furniture and is looking for dependable individuals with welding experience who take pride in producing quality work. Metal Arc offers a clean and organized work environment, competitive wages, benefits, and long-term stable employment opportunities. This position primarily involves MIG welding and finishing 18ga cold rolled steel components used in laboratory furniture manufacturing. No stainless steel or aluminum welding is required. Responsibilities include : MIG welding steel laboratory furniture components Grinding, sanding, and finishing welded assemblies Using hand tools and fabrication equipment safely and efficiently Inspecting work to ensure quality and conformance to specifications Maintaining clean and organized work areas Reporting quality concerns or production issues to supervisors
Qualifications :
Previous MIG welding experience or welding training (min. 1 - 2 years) Ability to pass a weld and grinding/finishing test Comfortable using welders, grinders, sanders, and hand tools Attention to detail and pride in workmanship Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
