In this role, you will be responsible for executing precise welding and fabrication tasks on a variety of metal materials, ensuring all work meets industry standards and safety protocols. Your expertise will contribute to the creation of high-quality metal components and structures, supporting our commitment to excellence in manufacturing and mechanical fabrication. This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your technical skills in a fast-paced environment dedicated to craftsmanship and innovation. Duties Interpret mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, and fabrication shop drawings to accurately guide welding and assembly processes Perform welding using various techniques including MIG (Metal Inert Gas), TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), and SMAW (Shielded Metal Arc Welding) in accordance with AWS (American Welding Society) standards Measure and mark materials using calipers, micrometers, measuring instruments, and shop math to ensure precise cuts and fits Fabricate metal components by cutting, shaping, bending, assembling, and welding sheet metal, pipe, and other metal materials Operate power tools, plasma cutters, rigging equipment, pipe threading machines, and machining tools safely and efficiently during fabrication tasks Maintain strict adherence to safety protocols at all times while working on construction sites or within fabrication shops Collaborate with team members to assemble complex structures, ensuring accuracy in measurements and weld quality Requirements Proven experience working on construction sites or in fabrication shops with a strong understanding of mechanical fabrication processes Proficiency in welding techniques including MIG, TIG, FCAW, SMAW, and knowledge of specific welding standards Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and mechanical blueprints confidently Skilled in using measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and other precision tools for accurate measurements Mechanical knowledge related to metal materials, sheet metal fabrication, pipe threading, plasma cutting, machining, and assembly processes Experience with rigging operations for lifting or positioning heavy components safely on-site or in-shop Familiarity with shop math concepts necessary for fabrication calculations and measurements Strong understanding of safety protocols relevant to welding environments and construction sites Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, measuring instruments effectively while maintaining safety standards Knowledge of AWS standards for welding quality assurance and inspection procedures Join our team if you're passionate about delivering top-tier craftsmanship through expert welding and fabrication skills.
