Job Title:
Manual Welder Job Description We are seeking a skilled Manual Welder to join our team in the production and repair of stainless steel exhaust systems. This role primarily involves manual welding, but you may also run robotic weld machines or Continuous Resistance Welders when manual welding demand is low. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced welder to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities Perform manual welding functions independently, focusing on stainless steel exhaust systems with thickness ranging from 1/8" to 1/2". Repair MIG/Spot welds to meet quality standards. Operate, set, and maintain manual production welding equipment. Run robotic weld machines and Continuous Resistance Welders as needed. Troubleshoot robotic weld machines and train operators on their use. Monitor quality, process paperwork, and maintain a clean work area. Essential Skills Minimum of 2 years of MIG welding experience. At least 1 year of experience in stainless steel welding with thicknesses of 1/8", 1/4", and 1/2". Additional Skills & Qualifications 3-5 years of TIG welding experience is a plus. Work Environment The work environment is a fast-paced, clean, and friendly manufacturing setting. You will work with automated tube benders, welding machines, ABB material handling robots, and more. The facility is generally loud, so be prepared for consistent noise from machinery. The job site is located at 1201 Building, with shifts from Monday to Thursday, either 6am to 4:30pm or 4pm to 2:30am, with occasional Friday shifts. Employees must comply with all PPE and safety requirements, including wearing steel-toe shoes, which must be worn at all times in the plant. Safety glasses, gloves, and hearing protection will be provided. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Troy, MI. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
