Job Description
Job Summary Doetsch Environmental Services is seeking a Welding Assistant to join our Service Center team. This hands-on position is responsible for fabricating, assembling, and welding metal components to precise specifications while supporting the production, repair, and maintenance of specialized equipment. This is an entry-level role ideal for individuals that that are seeking an opportunity to begin building their career in the welding field. This role requires strong attention to detail, a commitment to workplace safety, and the ability to maintain an organized work area while meeting production deadlines. Successful candidates are dependable, self-motivated, and take pride in delivering quality workmanship as part of a collaborative team. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Must be able to fabricate sub-details together according to Fabrication Supervisor's written or verbal instruction to the specified dimensions to construct a weldment.
- Knowledge of various forms of bending and welding.
- Able to run all fabrication department equipment.
- Update materials and supplies inventory.
- Clocking in and out of each of assigned projects for time tracking.
- Perform all necessary maintenance on fabrication department equipment.
- Inform the Supervisor if machinery or equipment fails.
- Keep a well-organized work area.
- Report all missing and broken company owned tools.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 1+ years of formal or informal welding experience or educational equivalent
- Deadline and detail oriented.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Work with a sense of urgency.
- Driver's license.
- Clean driving record.
- Reliable transportation.
