Job Description
Charter House Innovations, a leading design firm and manufacturer of seating and décor for the quick service restaurant industry, has an exciting opportunity for a dedicated and motivated TIG Welder to join our team. A TIG Welder at Charter House performs TIG welding to produce chairs, support steel, and decoratives screens as specified by layout, welding diagram, or work order by performing the following duties, but other duties may be assigned: Tracks production schedule and maintains own schedule to complete required items Reads AutoCAD engineering drawings and shop prints to produce custom metal items Fabricates custom items according to engineering drawings Fabricates welding jigs or fixtures as needed Positions parts in jigs or fixtures on bench or floor, or clamps parts together Selects torch, torch tip, filler rod and flux, according to welding chart specifications or type and thickness of metal Examines weld for bead size and other specifications Lays out, positions, and tack welds work pieces Welds along vertical or overhead weld lines Chips or grinds off excess weld, slag, or spatter Cleans or degreases parts as needed
