Shift Entry Level Welders Hours :
Monday - Thursday 3:30pm - 2:00am Enjoy a 3-day weekend every week!Pay:
up to $21.00/hr. DOE, our 2nd shift also pays an additional $2.00/hr. shift differential on top of your base hourly wage. If you transfer from 2nd Shift, you will no longer be eligible for the additional 2nd shift differential of +$2.00/hr. Paid Weekly! Weekly opportunities often available to pick up additional overtime hours!Location:
Bloomington, MNPOSITION PURPOSE
This position lies out, fits, and welds fabricated components to assemble structural forms according to job specifications. The Welder selects equipment, plans layout, assembles, and welds while applying knowledge of geometry, physical properties of metal machining weld shrinkage, and welding techniques.PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Perform set-up and welding operations per job specifications.
- Design unique tooling to expand machine capabilities.
- May repair products by dismantling, straightening, reshaping, and reassembling parts, using cutting torch, straightening press, and hand tools.
- Move assembled product to next production area in order to complete finished product per job specification.
- Ensure the safe operation of equipment.
- Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.
- Report immediately to supervisor/lead/manager any and all problems, which may affect safety, equipment, tooling, and/or quality.
- Maintain full working knowledge of all processes.
- Ensure a clean and organized work environment.
- Conduct himself/herself in a professional manner in accordance with company guidelines.
- Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Required:
- One year of applicable welding experience.
- Equivalent of high school diploma or G.
Preferred:
- Five plus years of applicable welding experience.
- Vocational certification or degree.
- Experience in a similar manufacturing setting.
- Experience working under ISO procedures.
