TIG Welder Job Description This role focuses on precision TIG welding of stainless steel components to produce high-quality parts, assemblies, and custom fabrications that meet or exceed engineering and customer specifications. You will apply advanced TIG welding techniques and a strong understanding of stainless-steel properties to deliver clean, accurate, and durable welds in a manufacturing or fabrication environment. Responsibilities Perform high-quality TIG welding on stainless steel, with a focus on 16-gauge material, to produce precise and durable welds. Set up welding equipment and workstations, including proper selection of tools, fixtures, and materials for each job. Read and interpret technical blueprints and welding symbols to ensure accurate fabrication and assembly. Essential Skills TIG welding experience Demonstrated expertise in TIG welding techniques, including back purging and controlling heat input. Strong understanding of stainless-steel properties and how they affect weld quality and performance. Ability to read and interpret technical blueprints and welding symbols accurately. Additional Skills & Qualifications AWS certification or equivalent in TIG welding (GTAW). Why Work Here? Work Environment This is a full-time role in a manufacturing or fabrication setting on a first-shift schedule. Typical hours are Monday through Thursday, either 5:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. or 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with voluntary overtime available on Fridays. You will work in a collaborative, team-oriented environment that emphasizes clear and respectful communication across all levels of the organization. The role involves hands-on work with stainless steel materials and TIG welding equipment, as well as occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Caledonia, MN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $28.00/hr.
