Position Summary:

Position Summary:
The Welder's primary responsibility is tig welding of stainless steel parts. Each job must be run with safety, accuracy, and timeliness in the welding area.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Tig welding, including the following: Create quality welds according to 3D weldments Inspect welds for quality. Ensure all equipment is properly set-up and used in a safe manner and that all safety devices are in use. Operate forklift, if required and trained. Monitor equipment and request maintenance when required.
Other Duties and Responsibilities:
Will be required to cross-train in other areas of the shop. Required to have proper and accurate entry into the time and attendance system. Weld clean weldments with passivating equipment. Assemble finished product. Operate machinery such as Laser, Press Brake and CNC router when needed (no prior experience necessary) Build pallets/crates according to prints.
Performance Expectations:
Safety, Quality, Accuracy, Timeliness, Reliability and Thoroughness of work performed; Knowledgeable of different welding techniques, prestressing of the metal and understands fixturing. Develops a working knowledge of the production environment and has the ability to respond to change.
Working Conditions:
This position works in a production environment. Safety equipment must be worn when working with equipment in the shop. Bending, lifting and pushing up to 70 pounds is required.
